A series of extraordinary features have been rolling out lately! It’s time to announce that Bundles are now available on Megaventory! Let’s start by learning how to create Bundled products on our inventory management software.
Creating a Bundle on our Inventory Management Software
Previously, you were able to bundle products using the manufacturing module. A user could do this by creating a finished good and “producing” it each time a Bundle had to be added in stock. An important downside of this, apart from the extra step in the workflow, was that the Bundle components were not visible once the finished good was made. And this previously missing feature was sometimes necessary when creating and handling Sales Orders – so that the user can see the bundled products at a quick glance.
But now you can create Bundles much easier, through the Products and Services menu. You just have to set the Product Type to Product Bundle and then add your Bundled Products. A more detailed description of the steps is already available on our Knowledge Base.
Bundles in a Sales Order
Because of this new feature, you will be able to see all the components (along with their exact quantity) each time you add a Bundle to a Sales Order. This kind of visibility makes it faster and easier to customize Sales Orders and removes the need to go through a Production Order to sell more than one item together.
See below an example of how the bundle will appear in a Sales Order.
Tracking the Bundles
What about the tracking of the bundles? Megaventory doesn’t track the quantity of the bundles but only the quantity of each product that’s included. You can check if there are enough bundles in stock by approving the related sales order. If the components aren’t enough then a warning message will appear.

Bundles in Reporting
In the reporting section, Megaventory doesn’t track separately the quantity of the products that are included in the bundle. This means that there is no available report for tracking bundled stock. Products can be viewed only as a total in the product movement reports.
Pricing Rules of Bundles
What about the pricing rules? Do they apply to all the customers/suppliers? Are they by default or are they customizable? You can find more details such as how bundles work with pricing rules in our Knowledge Base article.
Summing Up
Now all you have to do is try these bundled products while keeping track of your inventory!
