Megaventory has some new features that will make your life easier! Since our main purpose is to help our customers improve their workflow, we have been working on enabling batch edit mode for some cells of grids. It’s time to learn more about managing multiple orders in Megaventory!
You can now as well retrieve Production Order Reference Numbers in the top search so you can associate such Orders with Sales and Purchases.
Finally, there’s a more fully-featured search available which should help you speed up your queries.
1.Batch edit mode for some order fields
What enabling batch edit is about?
Megaventory now provides the ability to enable batch edits for some cells. For example, when it comes to purchases, click on Purchases and Receipts Lists. Click on a list and find the Custom Document Options. Double click on the line that matches the product that you would like to change a document option. Then, you can choose the custom document option that you would like to add to the specific document.
You can repeat for as many lines as necessary and without accessing each document individually you can edit a list of them.
What is the value of this feature and how it can help you in managing multiple orders in Megaventory?
The process of adding some information to the custom document option is now easier since we reduced the number of clicks – you don’t need to open the document. This way, you can easily group documents by assigning to them in bulk the same flag, For example, you can mark them all as paid or needing approval or revision. This means that this feature can save valuable time for your team members and improve your company’s workflow.
2. Associating Production Orders with Sales and Purchases
What associating production orders is about?
With this feature, you won’t have to search one-by-one your purchase, sales, and production orders. Instead, you will write on the search field the name of the product that you are searching for, and the lists in which it is saved will appear in a separate box. With this powerful feature, you will have all the information of a specific product collected in the same list.
It’s simple! You can just paste the order reference number of the order that you’re searching for in the search bar.
Remember: all orders that need to be grouped in this manner need to have their Order reference filled in ahead of time.
What’s the value of this feature on managing multiple orders in Megaventory?
Furthermore, the purchase, sales, and production orders are now able to connect as a single group by searching for a project name through the document reference field. This way you will find the purchase, sales, and production orders on the same list. This new feature of Megaventory will help you search into specific fields and will help you improve your workflow by speeding up the searching process.
3. Global Search With Specified Attributes
What global search is about?
This new feature of Megaventory will provide the ability to search globally for a specific entity by filters. Through the top search bar, you will be able to search for information about Products, Suppliers, Clients, Serial Numbers, Batch Numbers, Documents, Contacts, Bills of Materials, Purchase Orders, and Sales Orders.
Sometimes however this general search doesn’t provide you with results fast enough – especially when it comes to large databases being managed by Megaventory.
So what can be done instead?
Let’s say that you are searching for a specific attribute of a product and you don’t remember what field you have saved it or what it is. After clicking on Products you will either search all fields or you can choose specific fields after disabling the “search all fields” button.
Case 1:
Case 2:
In the second case, you will also be able to search the product in specific fields depending on your needs. For example, you can search for a specific product by its SKU while enabling this through the specified fields. Your results would be much faster to return that way!
